This one came in from Stos Goneos from “Bite The Buffalo”

It had a badly bent Machinehead and after inspection the body around the jack socket was damaged now all good!
Tuner badly bentnot good!I tried to straighten the tuner but it snapped. So I replaced with a new one and put the original button on. Tightened the rest of the tuners tooNice control but modern style knob but not as good as the 60s ones. imhoOoops side is cracked where the jack has taken a hit. Weak point of this type of jack mountingOpened up and found the signes of a Guitar Tech.. The tooth pick hole filler!Wood is damaged, I flattened out and soaked in some CA glue to strengthenQuick crude repair with this larger washer to spread the stress if the jack is bashed. I would prefer to place a jack plate in there but no stock of parts. But this will do (customer gigging tomorrow) Ready to go!All ready for collection! (before new pickups installed)Stos is interested in a P90 mod.. this is what it would look like with dogeared P90s this could work quite well!With these directly mounted to the body it looks like the pickup height would be perfect..Guitar back in for new pickups, old ones taken out!New ones checked to fit, pickup recesses needed enlarging slightlyEnlarged pickup recess. Note hollow centre!All fitted!Replaced the plastic socket (a bit loose and risking crackling)New pickups in and ready to go!Modified the pickguard to fit the new pickupsReady for collection! again 😉

Stos also bought the guitar in for Dogeared P90s to be installed. They look and sound good!
