Nice Martin X Series 000X1AE Acoustic on
Marked up to remove about 1.2mm
Excess filled off
Masking tape repmoved
Lowered bridge saddle in place
Nut had previosuly been cut too low and open chords rattles on the first fret
Solution with some thin mahogany veneer to higher the nut
ALl good to go! Lovely guitar in for a simple action lowering exercise but needed the nut raising a little too
Nice… how did you remove the nut, m having the same problem with my martin acoustic.
I simple knocked the bridge from one side with a square strip of wood.. You cannot knock it out backwards because it is in a recess. The are normally held in with a light lacquer which breaks away (if anything). This one came out easily. I hope that helps.
