As she came in from Ebay..None original pickups.. on Genuine Gibson Minihumbucker and one Kent Armstrong..Schaller Bridge also none original and touching the body..Love the headstock shape! Norlin Classic!Believe she is a 72…Lovely wear to the body!Ooops Rod get’s it wrong she is defo a Gibson SG III no a Delux!Front pickup is a keeperAll stripped.. I think the neck is a one piece Maple neck and the body… I believe i Poplar.. very light. Gibson just stated “hardwood” some say maple but not heavy enough..Rear pickup recess has been chiselled out for a humbucker at some stage then crudely refilled…Will reroute for a humbucker as that suits the guitar and in the 70s this was done a lot..Gibson PAF positioned in the rear…Close up of the filled rear pickup area..Marked for routingRouted out (I did use a template) Dimarzio Super D seemed more appropriate for this 70s sguitarAll routed and the various holes filled and sealed..Ready for the switch and knob panel to go back onAll up and running with a simple wrap around bridge/tailpieceSounds lovely the dimarizo matches the Mini humbucker well!one of my faves!Now with Yamaha SF500 pickup and phae reversal and coil tap switchesReady for sale!
