As she came in from Ebay..
None original pickups.. on Genuine Gibson Minihumbucker and one Kent Armstrong..
Schaller Bridge also none original and touching the body..
Love the headstock shape! Norlin Classic!
Believe she is a 72…

Lovely wear to the body!

Ooops Rod get’s it wrong she is defo a Gibson SG III no a Delux!
Front pickup is a keeper
All stripped.. I think the neck is a one piece Maple neck and the body… I believe i Poplar.. very light. Gibson just stated “hardwood” some say maple but not heavy enough..
Rear pickup recess has been chiselled out for a humbucker at some stage then crudely refilled…
Will reroute for a humbucker as that suits the guitar and in the 70s this was done a lot..
Gibson PAF positioned in the rear…

Close up of the filled rear pickup area..
Marked for routing
Routed out (I did use a template) Dimarzio Super D seemed more appropriate for this 70s sguitar
All routed and the various holes filled and sealed..
Ready for the switch and knob panel to go back on

All up and running with a simple wrap around bridge/tailpiece
Sounds lovely the dimarizo matches the Mini humbucker well!
one of my faves!

Now with Yamaha SF500 pickup and phae reversal and coil tap switches

Ready for sale!
