70 jazz Bass in for a service.. Lovely guitar fairly chunky neck for a jazz bass
3 screw neck plate
With micro tilt..
Electrics needed cleaning up but all looks good in there! (and original)
Fret board needed a good clean and fret polished a little but no need for levelling or
Cover off to set the intonation (out just a little on the D and G string)
Sticker residue
all gone..
Back nice and clean now.. neck screws wwere slakended and neck lined up a little better
The customer was experiencing noise under high gain situations so we decided to shield the cavities and improve the grounding
Foam under the pickups had deteriorated.. to a goopy mess..

Shieling was used but not the full cavities
Cavities cleaned out
Coper foil for cavity shielding
All cavities joined together and soldered at various points
Cavity ground connections
Pickups now needed cleaning up and new foam
new foam for the rear of the pickups
Fitted back in ready to solder
No ground connection to the jack except for the plate it self..
groud line added to pots and straight to jack
All finished ready for the customer! The Pickup shield was also grounded to help optimise shielding Lovely Made in USA 70s Jazz Bass for a setup/service and for the cavity shielding to be improved
