70 jazz Bass in for a service.. Lovely guitar fairly chunky neck for a jazz bass3 screw neck plateWith micro tilt..Electrics needed cleaning up but all looks good in there! (and original)Fret board needed a good clean and fret polished a little but no need for levelling or Cover off to set the intonation (out just a little on the D and G string)Sticker residueall gone..Back nice and clean now.. neck screws wwere slakended and neck lined up a little betterThe customer was experiencing noise under high gain situations so we decided to shield the cavities and improve the groundingFoam under the pickups had deteriorated.. to a goopy mess..17th July 1975!Shieling was used but not the full cavitiesCavities cleaned outCoper foil for cavity shieldingAll cavities joined together and soldered at various pointsCavity ground connectionsPickups now needed cleaning up and new foamnew foam for the rear of the pickupsFitted back in ready to solderNo ground connection to the jack except for the plate it self..groud line added to pots and straight to jackAll finished ready for the customer!
